Apart from the village inhabitants, few people will grasp the real meaning of “La Stria del Re”; in our local dialect, “Stria” means “Witch” and in Italian, “Re” means “King”? but choosing this name, it wasn’t Sara intention to consider herself “The King’s Witch”. Exactly, in ancient times the small village was called “Re”, like the creek flowing close by, and the local population still now continues to use this nickname.
But our guests take no chance? though Sara really feels a bit a little witch; “La Stria del Re” is just a bizarre word pun.
